NetEase Games has pulled the curtain back on Once Human Annual Version 2.0 during its 2025 Global Showcase, bringing a major wave of content to the growing survival shooter. From a twisted new PvE scenario to an all-out PvP spin-off and confirmation of console ports, here’s a complete breakdown of everything arriving in this jam-packed update.
Explore the Fully-Unlocked Endless Dream Scenario
The new update introduces Endless Dream, a Nightmare-themed PvE scenario that’s available to explore right away with no map restrictions. Set in a surreal world of CRT monitors, eerie amusement parks, and distorted dreamscapes, players will traverse Dream Zones and Nightmare Areas filled with new environmental threats and a Confusion mechanic that raises the challenge.
Face off against terrifying Deviants like Agony, Misery, and Naivety, each with their own powers. The entire scenario evolves through five distinct phases, changing based on how you deal with the nightmares. You can also build structures without land restrictions and shape your journey toward multiple possible endings.
Events, Mini-Games & Free Rewards
To celebrate Version 2.0, players can earn 11 Lightforge Ingots, Starchom, and 80+ pulls simply by joining events and completing tasks. Add daily check-ins and redeem codes, and you’re looking at up to 190 pulls and a free 5-star Memory in total.
The update also adds fun mini-games like Dreamland Wonder, where players can collect tickets to unlock the Deviation shooting game, rescue Chefosaurus Rex, and enjoy a fireworks show. There’s also the Renewed Team community event with a massive prize pool, plus exclusive cosmetics like the Azure Melody outfit and Abyssal Finale Lightforge Loot Crate.
Brand-New Class System
Version 2.0 introduces three new playable classes: Chef, Gardener, and Beastmaster. Each comes with one core skill and three unique talents, along with exclusive class-based tools to ease early progression. These roles, however, are restricted while on the internal island. RaidZone: PvP Spin-Off Arrives July 30
A new standalone title, Once Human: RaidZone, arrives on July 30, 2025, bringing a lawless open-world PvP experience. Players start with nothing and must scavenge for weapons, build bases, and raid others in a brutal, equipment-free survival world.
Unlike the main game, Deviation Powers have been redesigned for PvP, allowing for explosive combat options as you navigate a map with no safe zones and real-time alliances.
Console Launch Set for 2026
NetEase has confirmed that Once Human will be coming to PlayStation and Xbox in 2026. Though a specific release date hasn’t been shared, development is reportedly in its final stages, and previews for platform-optimized versions are expected soon. Players can wishlist now for early-bird rewards.
What Else is Coming in 2025
More updates are on the horizon. A new scenario titled Code: Deviation is planned for Q4 2025, alongside the launch of Custom Server 2.0. NetEase is also doubling down on anti-cheat measures, implementing behavioral tracking, AI-powered defenses, and a 24/7 patrol system to improve fairness.
