These upcoming additions were first revealed during the 2025 Pokémon World Championships, generating excitement among fans and longtime players. Whether you’re returning to the game or a current player, there’s a lot to look forward to — especially for fans of these beloved Pokémon.
Groudon Roars into Theia Sky Ruins This September
In addition to the new playable Pokémon, Groudon will be entering the battlefield on September 4 as a neutral boss in Theia Sky Ruins. Taking down Groudon grants your team a significant attack boost and faster goal scoring — a powerful advantage during late-game fights.
Interestingly, Groudon’s power can also transfer. If you defeat a Pokémon holding its effect, you’ll inherit the boost, adding a new layer of strategy to team battles.
With Empoleon arriving soon and two more water-type favorites on the way, Pokémon UNITE continues to expand its roster in exciting ways — and the arrival of Groudon promises even more intense gameplay ahead.
