[Update website] Valve just announced a Reborn beta for Dota 2, which will introduce new features such as a new interface, new engine, and Custom Games. While not mentioned, Source 2 is likely be the new engine, with graphical enhancements included. I have always found the interface to be cluttered, and the new one seems much cleaner. Reborn will enter Open Beta in just a few weeks.
